Measuring Guides

Use these guides before ordering replacement parts so you can confirm the correct joint size and usable downstem length.

Illustrated guide

How to Measure a Downstem and Joint

Measure the joint opening and the usable length from the bottom of the ground joint to the tip. Common joint sizes are 10 mm, 14 mm, and 18 mm. Do not include the portion above the joint when measuring length.

  • Use a ruler or caliper for the most accurate measurement.
  • Confirm whether the connection is male or female.
  • Never force glass parts together.
