Clear and colored glass can offer the same reusable function; the practical difference is visibility and style. Clear glass makes residue easier to see during cleaning. Colored designs are easier to identify and add a distinct finish to the roll.
Place the glass tip at one end of the paper and wrap the paper snugly around it without forcing the glass. Build the roll outward from the tip, keep the seam even and confirm the tip is secure before use. The correct fit should feel stable without crushing or splitting the paper.
Let the tip cool completely. Remove loose material, use a glass-safe cleaning method, rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry before reuse. Avoid sudden temperature changes, and follow any brand-specific care instructions supplied with the product.
